Tourism arrivals in Mexico fall to lowest level since mid-2014

The number of tourists arriving in Mexico fell to its lowest level in more than three years in July, falling to a record low of just over 3 million, according to figures released on Wednesday.

The country’s Tourism Ministry reported that the number of visitors arriving in July fell to about 2.1 million, down by 0.5 per cent from the previous month, but still more than double the figure recorded in August last year.

The ministry said the decline came despite a strong start to the year, when tourists spent $1.5 billion on travel and accommodation in Mexico, up 14 per cent compared to the same period last year and the highest number since January 2014.

Visitors were also more likely to spend more on food and accommodation.

The tourism ministry said that the year’s tourism arrivals were driven by the strong growth in tourism in Mexico.

“The number of foreigners visiting Mexico rose to about 5.1 billion in July 2018, which is more than twice the number arriving in August 2018, and it is the highest annual number since 2014,” it said.

“Tourism has been on a strong uptrend for some time now, and the number arrivals has risen at a high level for the past year.”

The country has seen a string of record high visitor numbers in the past few years.

In 2016, more than 4 million people visited Mexico for the first time, while last year more than 5.3 million people did the same.

Tourism and tourism operators said that tourism is expected to grow by about 5 per cent this year, with Mexico’s tourism industry projected to see a total of more than $9 billion in annual economic activity.

The Tourism Ministry said the number, however, was “subject to change depending on factors such as the international financial situation, the economic outlook, economic outlook of the state of tourism, the health and security situation and economic trends”.

Spain tourist resorts to be flooded with attractive visitors

SPAIN — A French tourist resort that was supposed to attract tourists in the tourist hotspot of Valladolid in northern Spain was evacuated after an influx of tourists turned out for a photo shoot at its beautiful lakefront.

On Monday, the resort in Valladunice, near the Spanish-French border, had to close after the resort’s owners were unable to keep up with the influx of people.

The Spanish Government closed the resort after they decided to move to another location, said the local mayor, Jose Manuel de Castro.

In a statement, Valladuno was praised by tourism authorities as a tourist attraction.

It was built in 1925 and has an oceanfront area with lakes, rivers, mountains and canals.

It is one of the few remaining Spanish lakes and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

A video posted on social media showed the lake and surrounding waters were covered in tourists and people, who took pictures with a camera and posed for pictures with the water.

The resort has been in operation since 2010, but the number of visitors has grown steadily as it has expanded.

On Friday, the town of Valladez, a tourist village on the edge of Valladera, had a crowd of about 500 people.

They were in line for the pictures with an area near the lake.

The town’s mayor, Javier Moreno, said he thought the tourists were trying to get a photo of the lakefront, which is surrounded by mountains.

But the lake has been flooded and it has become impossible to get the tourists out of town, Moreno said.

The tourists were escorted out by security officers, he added.

The town is in a tourist district and a lake, as well as an old shopping center, has been built there, but not at the same time, he said.

It has not been flooded yet, he noted.

The tourist attraction, with its views of the town and lake, has attracted visitors from France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the United States, Italy and Germany, according to tourism officials.

In the past, it has attracted people from around the world who come to see the sights, Moreno told The Associated Press.

The resort was a great attraction for the tourism industry, he told AP.

In addition to its historic significance, the lake is a popular destination for tourists to swim and enjoy the natural beauty of the lakes and rivers, which run in the summer.

In an interview with Spanish media, the mayor of Vallada, Jorge de Castro, praised the tourists who arrived at the lake for their presence.

He said he was glad that they came for a picture and that they were happy to be seen by the residents.

He said the town’s water supply has been restored, and the lake had reopened to the public in recent days.

The lake has not flooded since the tourist season began, but it has been inundated by tourists who come because of the weather conditions, de Castro said.

Spain is not a particularly tourist-friendly country, and many residents are concerned about the tourism-related issues and concerns over water pollution.
